Christopher Pesavento, M.D., is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and laser vision correction surgery.  His medical degree was earned from Indiana University on a full academic scholarship from the Indiana State Medical Association (one of only two offered) after graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Wabash College.

His internship was performed at Lenox Hill Hospital on the upper East Side of Manhattan.  He completed his training and Ophthalmology residency at the distinguished Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.

During his residency he had the privilege of serving as the Chief Resident of the Washington DC Veterans Affair Hospital Ophthalmology Department as well as performing rotations at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. 
Dr. Pesavento has participated in mission trips providing much needed cataract surgery to the underserved population of Arequipa, Peru.

Dr. Pesavento is Board Certified from the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He started the Southside Center for Sight in 2007 after completing his training and returning to his home state of Indiana.  He prides himself on providing the best eye care to his patients in a professional and caring environment.  Dr. Pesavento has performed thousands of microsurgical and laser eye procedures and has satisfied patients all over central Indiana.

Dr. Pesavento’s wife, Lara, is an anesthesiologist and they reside with their two daughters in Meridian Hills. In his free time he enjoys travel, scuba and golf.
